Pagan and Christianity

This is an introduction to a type of Christianity that is fun and loved by lots of people. Christians love pagan holidays because it is easier to conform than to separate from popular traditions . This is due to Christians knowingly or unknowingly celebrating Pagan holidays as if they were ordained biblical holidays. Well known Pagan holidays celebrated by Christians are:

Pagan Feast

  1. New years.
  2. Valentines day.
  3. Easter.
  4. Thanksgiving.
  5. Halloween.
  6. Christmas.
  7. Sunday worship.

Christians love these holidays because they are fun to do with their kids. Their children get to go to school and make arts and crafts with their friends. Most Christians don’t believe that they’re doing anything bad while celebrating these holidays. However, any pagan holiday celebrated cannot be redeemed as holy according to scripture. The danger for mixing paganism with Christianity is becoming “lukewarm”, neither hot nor cold. Revelation 3:16 KJV6 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

The Biblical Holidays are documented in the book of Leviticus chapter 23; the book of Esther chapter 5; and the first book of Maccabees chapter 4, verses 52-59.

The Biblical Feasts Are:

  1. Passover, Unleavened Bread.
  2. Feast of First Fruits.
  3. Day of Atonement
  4. Tabernacles.
  5. Dedications.
  6. Purim.
  7. Sabbath day worship.

Biblical Feasts seem like Jewish Feasts but they are not the same. The Jewish calendar has eight more holidays on it. The biblical feasts have stayed the same throughout time . Most of all, even Christ, our savior, has celebrated these Biblical Feasts which we should do also to become like Christ.
