Greetings truth seeker! Unfortunately the topics surrounding The evidence and legitimacy of Noah’s flood is extremely difficult to organize. Therefore in the meanwhile, I hope to intrigue you about the clean and unclean concepts of the Biblical law and how to use it today. Next is I will write about Christmas original meaning and how Christians ended up celebrating it.
In my previous article I explained the importance of the dietary law in regards to keeping the “temple” ( the body after baptism) clean. The dietary law is synonymous to the concepts of “clean and unclean = holy and unholy”. Therefore eating a clean diet is the same as having a holy body acceptable unto Christ like a lamb without blemish.
However this article will be about the clean and unclean concept in reference to illnesses and modern quarantines methods deriving from the Biblical text. Within the Biblical text there were certain ways to deal with physically ill people. These ill people are referred to as “unclean” or in a physical state of un-holiness. This concept falls under the illness law of the Bible. Some historians say that the illness law of the bible is the first advanced form of medical treatment before modern medicine. Specifically the use of “quarantines” was first established in ancient Isreal before any other nation. Also washing the body, hands and feet was also revolutionary yet a normal custom to ancient Israel.
Plague Quarantine.
The illness law and the sanitation law are one and the same. Sanitation can determine your illness or whether you get sick or not. We understand this through the medical industry when they implement cleaning and hygiene practices for the public. However a lot of the popular and widely accepted ways of preventing illnesses were used in the Old Testament and documented there in the law of Moses before medical professionals had ever implemented them in other societies.
The concept of quarantine which was heavily used for these past 2 years from the covid 19 pandemic was a popular way of preventing an illness spread in the Old Testament. There was a scripture in the Old Testament where it went little something like this: Leviticus 13: 2-4
“2. When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:
3. And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.
4. If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague seven days.’
Leprosy Plague Epidemic.
The scripture documents a specific illness at the time, Leprosy, in which the skin of a person turns white. Common in the black community where some people will slowly turn white from brown over time. Today we might call this skin disorder or disease vitiligo. Aside from the scriptural indication that the tribe of Israel was most likely dark skinned people in order to suffer a plague of leprosy, they used quarantines to keep the plague from spreading. A quarantine is when someone is purposefully isolated from the general population when they are sick. This isolation keeps the illness a person may have from spreading rapidly in the community. The text continues to describe procedures and precautions used when dealing with a plague.
A person who has the plague of leprosy was supposed to inform the priest (Isrealite medical professionals). They were then isolated for 7 days. After the seven days of isolation the person was examined again. If the plague was healed they were let go but if the plague persisted then the sick person was sent back into isolation for another 7 days. This process continued until the individual was healed or dead.
Covid-19 Pandemic Quarantine.
During the Covid-19 pandemic it is interesting how the world governments issued mandatory quarantines. In a desperate attempt to stop an impending doom for the entire human population people were forced in their homes. Although in the early stages of the pandemic the virus slowly stopped affecting people. However people still had to work in order to pay their bills and children needed proper education. Therefore another solution had to be made. As the final call anyone who felt as though they had Covid-19 was mandated at least two weeks of isolation. Although the illness is gone after a week a person is still contagious for another seven days.
Interestingly these procedures reminded me an awful lot about the Biblical plague procedures. I think that it’s amazing modern medicine finally advanced enough to be willingly to implement The Most High’s ordained way of preventing a pandemic. Unfortunately no one noticed. No one thought to read The Highest Gods notes for survival. This was written down thousands of years before modern medicine finally implemented a form of quarantines, especially on the European side (historically).
Do you remember the Black plague epidemic? Well during this time there was not reconciliation of separating the ill from the healthy persons. As a result of there ignorance and unsanitary living conditions the plague spread and killed thousands of people. If they were aware of the Biblical quarantine / illness law, then they might have survived.
Sanitation
Washing your hands is a common idea and practice in most modern societies. Originally most ancient societies disregarded the importance of this practice. It was only until “germ theory” came around and the Greeks and Romans implemented hand washing to preventing the spread of unhealthy germs. However I recall that the Greeks and Romans used to persecute Israelites for practicing these very laws. Is it really a crime to wash ones hands and separate the ill from the healthy people? It’s the highest Gods law to do so… I believe that these Greek scientist pioneered the idea of “germ theory” from the Biblical text itself. And they probably took the practices and sanitation customs of the Israelites. Now days most people would rather believe in the young science rather than the old all powerful Heavenly Father.
Exodus 19:10 “And the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,”
Exodus 30:19-20 “When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not, or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the Lord.”
Leviticus 11:25-26 “And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclen until the even. 26 The carcases of every beast whuch divideth the hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shll be unclean.”
Washing the hands and feet before entering a building is necessary. So is washing ones clothes, and washing yourself after touching a dead germ invested animal. The Highest God didn’t write these laws for fun, it is for our safety.
Conclusion:
The biggest take away from this is that although the Biblical text is hard to understand at times questionable laws. These Biblical laws are not doubt superior, helpful, relevant and divine for all people. The Highest God ordained quarantines, and modern medicine finally agreed without knowing it. Then it took humanity thousands of years to realize that quarantines are useful and can prevent large scale death.
